Married or engaged couples are invited to attend. However, couples must attend together. The training will not work if one attends without the other.

Bring something to write with and your willingness to learn the material you will be taught. You will be provided a "Couple’s Manual" and handout sheets.

Child Care

Child care will be provided at no cost to you. All providers are certified and the child care center is on site. Parents will be promptly notified during class if their presence is needed. Ages will include up to 12 years old.

Christian PREP® Seminars
on Sundays here at West Side

C-PREP is Biblically based and teaches ways for couples to implement skills in the areas of commitment, expectations, perceptions, and motivation as taught in Scripture. The material will be presented in one hour segments on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. as one of the Lifepath seminars. Pre-registration not required; just show up with your partner and enjoy!

What is the PREP Approach?

The Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) is a research-based approach to teaching couples how to communicate effectively, work as a team to solve problems, manage conflicts without damaging closeness, and preserve and enhance love, commitment, and friendship.

PREP Approach is based on 20 years of research in the field of marital health and success, with much of the specific research conducted at the University of Denver over the past 15 years.

Study of the research has focused specifically on what happy couples do right and what unhappy couples do wrong. One focus of this work has been on how to take this information and teach couples skills and attitudes associated with marital success. Because of its roots in solid research and a very striaghtforward approach, PREP has received a great deal of attention from couples, religious leaders, marriage counselors, and the media (including segments on Oprah, 20/20, 48 Hours, and many others). PREP (and the Christian version of PREP called "C-PREP") are designed to teach couples how to prevent divorce and preserve a lasting love.

The learning model employed in the PREP Approach is educational, with the focus on teaching couples the kidns of attitudes and actions that make for marital success. PREP is a proven training program where couples can learn powerful, proven strategies to build a strong, happy, healthy marriage.

BONUS:
Every couple who completes the course at West Side will receive a certificate and a complimentary copy of the book 12 Hours to a Great Marriage by Drs. Howard Markman, Scott Stanley, Susan Blumberg, Natalie Jenkins and Carol Whiteley.
